Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whited shoots in for a takedown but Vela shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vela throws a head kick but Whited moves out of range.
Vela looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Whited!
Whited is trying to get back to half guard.
Vela scores with punches from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vela in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Vela swings around for an armbar but Whited sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vela's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vela is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vela working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Whited has passed into half guard!
Vela preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Vela gets full guard.
Whited throws a big right hand that misses.
Whited missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Vela looking to hit a scissor sweep but Whited is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vela looking for a triangle here. Whited is fighting it but it looks tight! Vela pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Whited is tapping out - this one is all over!
