PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Kennedy (ranked 3640 p4p, 383 weight class) and Jose Carvaleho (ranked 3714 p4p, 388 weight class). Kennedy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Shot Through the Heart. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy is looking to clinch but Carvaleho is avoiding it.
Decent striking displayed by Kennedy there.
Kennedy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kennedy moves in looking to clinch but Carvaleho pushes him off.
Kennedy clobbers Carvaleho with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kennedy tries to clinch but Carvaleho moves away

and Carvaleho counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kennedy won't be happy with that.
Carvaleho in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Carvaleho is working to tighten his grip on Kennedy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kennedy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Carvaleho is really squeezing tight and eventually Kennedy passes out! Carvaleho breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
