Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ken Robinson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Javier Pinales!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robinson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pinales is trying to defend but Robinson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Robinson looking for a submission but Pinales manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Robinson advances position into side control!
Robinson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Pinales's shoulder. That is not cool.

Robinson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pinales has escaped the position, nice work there.
Robinson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Robinson is really struggling to control Pinales but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Robinson wants to take Pinales's back but he can't do it this time.

Robinson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Robinson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pinales manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Pinales has his foot on Robinson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Robinson works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Robinson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Robinson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pinales has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pinales!

Robinson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pinales can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pinales is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Robinson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pinales.

Well Robinson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ken Robinson retains his welterweight title!
Ken Robinson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
The defeated Javier Pinales had this to say: 'I demand a rematch!!! This faggot was running his index finger up my anus every chance that he got! Do you understand how good that felt ... and how distracting it was??? NO HOMO!'.
