Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aronna slips a jab and a cross from Blakemond.

Blakemond closes the distance and pushes Aronna back into the cage.
Aronna is working for takedown but Blakemond is calmly controlling the position for now.
Blakemond wants to break free but Aronna has control.
I was talking to Aronna's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Aronna has Blakemond pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Blakemond manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Aronna turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Aronna manages to end up in side control.

Aronna is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blakemond knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Aronna is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Blakemond has escaped the position, nice work there.

Aronna wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blakemond, who protects the arm well.

Aronna is working to tighten his grip on Blakemond's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Blakemond has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Aronna is really squeezing tight and eventually Blakemond passes out! Aronna breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
