Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thorvald Espensen (ranked 3462 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Grayson (ranked 3068 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Grayson.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Grayson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Espensen's brow.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Grayson in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Espensen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Grayson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Grayson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Espensen on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Grayson. Grayson obviously looking to wear him down.

Grayson clobbers Espensen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Grayson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Espensen.

I would just about give that final round to Jason Grayson.
Well Grayson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
