Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Shorton (ranked 3505 p4p, 320 weight class) and Koba Wyatt (ranked 2196 p4p, 227 weight class). Wyatt has chosen Channel Zero as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Bill Shorton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Koba Wyatt!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shorton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wyatt lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Shorton sizes up Wyatt with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Shorton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wyatt moves away.
Shorton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shorton misses with a left hand
and Wyatt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Shorton misses with a hook.
Shorton connects with a body shot that sends Wyatt's belly button to the back.
A jab from Shorton finds it's way through Wyatt's defenses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wyatt lands with a hook. Shorton tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wyatt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Shorton gets in close and instigates a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Shorton.
Shorton prevents Wyatt from breaking the clinch.
Wyatt is trying to force a seperation but Shorton has the dominant position.
Wyatt has had enough of the clinch but Shorton keeps him there for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wyatt wants to break the clinch but can't.
Shorton lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Shorton lands a hook to the side of the head.
Wyatt wants to get back to striking at distance but Shorton won't allow it.

Wyatt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wyatt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shorton.
Shorton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wyatt's hands.
Shorton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shorton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wyatt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wyatt! But no joy.
Good standup being displayed there by Wyatt as he connects with a hook.
Wyatt takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wyatt takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wyatt on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Shorton is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wyatt throws a looping overhand right but Shorton ducks down to avoid it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wyatt changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Shorton takes a swing at Wyatt's ribcage but misses.
Wyatt tests Shorton's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Shorton is rocked!
Wyatt knocks out Shorton with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Wyatt before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Wyatt picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Koba Wyatt!
A determined Koba Wyatt didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
Bill Shorton was interviewed post fight and said 'I HOPE YOU STUB YOUR DAMN TOE AND FALL UP THE STAIRS. '.
