Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Cory McDonnell (ranked 17904 p4p, 564 weight class) and Vlad Putin (ranked 3245 p4p, 370 weight class). McDonnell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jorge Quintero - 300 Violin Orchestra. Putin has chosen Rasputin Vladimir Putin Love The Way You Move as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin closes the distance but McDonnell moves to the side
and McDonnell counters with a head kick. That will keep Putin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
McDonnell has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The House Of Pain in the buildup to the fight.
McDonnell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Putin.
McDonnell throws an overhand right that lands on Putin's shoulder, as Putin tries to avoid the shot.
Putin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McDonnell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
McDonnell managing to block the knees to the body from Putin.
Putin tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Putin lands an elbow inside.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Putin.
McDonnell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Putin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but McDonnell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McDonnell has taken the fight to the clinch.
Putin throws a knee to the head but misses.
McDonnell lands a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Putin throws an elbow that misses.
McDonnell makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
McDonnell blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
McDonnell pushes off an throws an elbow but Putin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

McDonnell lands with a shot to the body.

McDonnell misses with a wild body shot.
Nice uppercut there from McDonnell.
Putin clinches with his opponent.

Putin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McDonnell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Putin misses with a jab, cross combination.
McDonnell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
McDonnell connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Putin momentarily.
McDonnell scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
McDonnell getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
McDonnell is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Putin.
McDonnell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Putin moves in looking to clinch but McDonnell pushes him off.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Putin throws a looping overhand right but McDonnell ducks down to avoid it.
McDonnell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Putin's sensitive parts.
A jab from Putin misses.
It appears McDonnell was looking to counter with a kick there.
McDonnell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Putin misses with a wild combination.
Putin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Putin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Putin is rocked!
Putin throws a hook but McDonnell blocks it.
Putin is still on wobbly legs! Can McDonnell finish him?
Putin clinches up with McDonnell and pushes him back against the ropes.
McDonnell lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from McDonnell.
McDonnell tries a knee to the head but Putin blocks it.
McDonnell lands a left hand that snaps the head of Putin backwards.
McDonnell scores with a shoulder strike.
McDonnell breaks from the clinch.
Putin tries to close the distance and clinch but McDonnell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Putin rushes McDonnell and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
McDonnell makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A short left from McDonnell.
McDonnell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McDonnell connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Putin's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Putin - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
