The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez stalks Boom and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Boom's face. Boom staggers backwards, shaken.
Boom throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boom walks into a stiff left hand from Rodriguez.

It looks like Samuel Boom has been cut.
Boom missing with a left hand there. Rodriguez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Boom throws out a loose jab but Rodriguez uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boom throws a hook to the side of Rodriguez's head but Rodriguez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rodriguez is looking for the big counter here.
A slow jab from Rodriguez misses its intended target.
Rodriguez dips to his left and cracks Boom with an uppercut!
Boom misses with the combination.
Rodriguez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Boom is rocked!
We've been told by Boom's head coaches at UnderGround Training Facility that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Boom darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Rodriguez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boom throws the left hand but Rodriguez avoids the punch easily.
Samuel Boom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodriguez digs a good hook to Boom's body.
Boom throws a lazy uppercut
and Rodriguez counters with a slapping leg kick.

Boom just misses with a punch to the body.
Rodriguez follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Rodriguez scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Oh Boom is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rodriguez drops Boom with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Boom! Rodriguez dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
