Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl Henriksen (ranked 997 p4p, 127 weight class) and Georgi Konds (ranked 5420 p4p, 468 weight class). Henriksen comes to the cage accompanied by OST Vikings - If I Had a Heart. Karl Henriksen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Georgi Konds's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konds misses with a combination
and Henriksen counters with a good, hard body kick but Konds shrugs it off.
Konds throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Konds misses with a double jab.
Henriksen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Henriksen lets loose with a powerful body kick. Konds will feel that in the morning.
Konds tries to bum rush Henriksen with a series of wild strikes but Henriksen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Konds throws a series of punches but Henriksen avoids them all with ease.
Georgi Konds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Konds misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Konds throws a lazy right hand but Henriksen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Henriksen counters with a head kick.
Konds throws a right hand that Henriksen ducks under and follows up with a left that Henriksen also avoids with ease.

Henriksen tries to counter by clinching up but Konds breaks away and moves out of range.

and Henriksen counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Konds is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Konds leaves Henriksen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Konds. Henriksen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Konds throws a nice looking combination but Henriksen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Henriksen throws a quick counter head kick but Konds was just out of range.

and Henriksen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Henriksen.

Konds tries to throw a body punch but Henriksen avoids it by throwing Konds back against the cage.
Henriksen is trying to pull guard but Konds has him pressed against the cage.

Konds misses with a hook to the ribs.
Henriksen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Konds smiles and moves away.

Konds lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Henriksen circles away quickly and effectively.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Henriksen counters with a nice uppercut.
Konds throws a one two combo.
Henriksen closes the distance and clinches up with Konds, looking for a takedown. Henriksen pushes Konds against the cage but Konds circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Georgi Konds is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Konds falls off balance throwing a combination
and Henriksen counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karl Henriksen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Henriksen throws a head kick that Konds semi-blocks.
Konds swings widly with a right hand
and Konds takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Konds has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Henriksen.

Henriksen thinks about countering with a body kick.
Henriksen scores with a jab to the head.
Konds needs to keep his hands up - Henriksen had a free shot at his head there.
Karl Henriksen is winning the standup battle so far.
Henriksen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Konds throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Henriksen.
Konds swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Henriksen makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Konds really felt that one!
Konds defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Henriksen.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Konds lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

and Henriksen counters with a head kick. That will keep Konds thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Konds is rocked!
Whack! Henriksen lands a heavy head kick that drops Konds. The ref tackles Henriksen to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Konds was done.
