Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Darren (ranked 40 p4p, 7 weight class) and Sheikh Amun Ghosh (ranked 102 p4p, 14 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Darren might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Here's to the losers. Ghosh is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Allah Gets Funky. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghosh throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ghosh gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The fighters circling - Darren throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ghosh tries a low kick but Darren avoids it.
Darren tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ghosh manages to circle out of the way.
Darren with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Darren throws a chopping leg kick but Ghosh manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Darren throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Ghosh is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Ghosh has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Wild Beasts Zoo . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Darren wants to stand up but Ghosh is controlling him.

Ghosh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Darren is just riding it out for now. Ghosh eventually gives up the hold.
