The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patch avoids the head kick by Rand.
Rand misses with a two punch combination.

Patch closes the distance and pushes Rand back into the cage.
Patch tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Patch tries to pull guard but Rand forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Patch fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Danny Rand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Patch.
Rand is trying to force a seperation but Patch has the dominant position.
Patch tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rand just stands there and leans against the cage.
Rand jumps guard but Patch turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Patch has his feet on Rand's thighs here. He's pushed Rand off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rand screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
