Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Rodd. Beautiful body shot.
Rodd looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gay or perhaps it was just good defense by Rodd, which made it look bad.
Rodd slaps away a takedown attempt from Gay, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gay tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rodd defends well and Gay ends up having to push Rodd into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyroon Gay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rodd, as that shot connected.
Gay takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Gay stuffs the takedown.

Gay throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rodd tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gay is in Rodd's guard.

Gay stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Rodd has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Gay manages to get his head free but now Rodd has transitioned to an armbar! Gay grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Rodd! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
