PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Jonny Stones (ranked 4616 p4p, 446 weight class) and Tim Pierno (ranked 6369 p4p, 502 weight class). Pierno comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sick Puppies - You're Going Down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stones wants to clinch up but Pierno keeps it at a distance.
Stones is looking to clinch.

Stones moves into the clinch.

Pierno breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stones wants to clinch up but Pierno keeps it at a distance.

Pierno looks like he wants to counter punch here.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pierno. Stones does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pierno throws a poor cross that misses
and Stones counters with a stiff right hand.

Pierno clinches up against the ropes.

Pierno's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pierno is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stones.

Pierno rushes Stones and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Pierno breaks from the clinch.
Stones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pierno swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Pierno fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stones manages to avoid it.
A jab from Pierno does it's job there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pierno appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Pierno dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Pierno escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stones is looking to clinch but Pierno is avoiding it.
A head kick misses from Stones.
Pierno stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Jonny Stones has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pierno connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Stones out cold! This one is over in a flash!
