The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willie wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Willie lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Willie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rakovic but Rakovic pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Decent striking displayed by Willie there.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rakovic has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Willie tries to clinch but Rakovic moves away

and Rakovic counters with a shoot takedown. Willie fights it but they end up in guard.
Willie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Willie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rakovic on the ground.

Rakovic is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Willie is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
