Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dyami Yazzie (ranked 1764 p4p, 219 weight class) and Kev McKill (ranked 1783 p4p, 221 weight class). McKill has chosen Welcome to the jungle, Guns n Roses. as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dyami Yazzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Kev McKill !
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Yazzie feinted with a counter takedown.
Yazzie moves out of range of the body kick.
Yazzie tries to counter with a takedown but McKill is quick to defend against it.
McKill scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
McKill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McKill swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Yazzie counters with a nice low kick that buckles McKill 's knee momentarily.
McKill looks to throw a body kick

and Yazzie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yazzie.
Yazzie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Yazzie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
McKill is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yazzie is working for a kimura but McKill is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yazzie is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McKill to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McKill shrugs it off.

Yazzie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Yazzie is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. McKill is defending well though. Yazzie let's go of the attempt for now.

McKill closes the distance but Yazzie moves to the side

and Yazzie counters with a nice double leg into side control. McKill won't be happy with that.

Yazzie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McKill .

McKill looks to land a combination but Yazzie avoids it well.
Kev McKill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKill misses with a double jab
and Yazzie counters with a thumping low kick.
Kev McKill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McKill takes a swing at Yazzie's ribcage but misses.

The fight stays on the outside here - McKill looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McKill is pushing Yazzie's head away, looking to escape. Yazzie manages to hold on to the position though.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Yazzie swings around for an armbar but McKill sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Yazzie's guard.
Yazzie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McKill 's guard.

McKill not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Yazzie engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Yazzie is looking to pass into half guard but McKill pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now McKill is in guard.

McKill trying to control the position from guard on top but Yazzie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McKill is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Yazzie is on top in guard.

Our spies down at at ~T~ Troid - Gym inform us that McKill has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
