Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Vi Karlson (ranked 3022 p4p, 337 weight class) and Tom Jr Boss (ranked 3023 p4p, 338 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magnus Vi Karlson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Jr Boss!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boss shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Karlson defends it nicely.
Karlson appears to be looking for a big counter.
Karlson throws a leg kick which misses Boss's front leg but catches the back leg as Boss tries to avoid it.

Karlson rushes Boss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Boss wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Boss is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Karlson to keep the fight standing.
Karlson looking for a takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boss tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Karlson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Magnus Vi Karlson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Jr Boss.

Karlson tries for a takedown but Boss sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Karlson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boss avoids it really well and circles away.
Boss shoots in and drives through. Karlson sprawls well.

Boss is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Boss tries to clinch there but Karlson circles away.
Boss will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Boss is looking to chop away at Karlson's legs.
Karlson is looking to counter the offense by Boss and move into the clinch.

Karlson darts in and clinches Boss up against the cage.
Karlson is trying to maintain a safe position but Boss gets an underhook and turns Karlson into the cage.
Come on Karlson - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Karlson is trying to pull guard but Boss has him pressed against the cage.

Boss jumps into guard, dragging Karlson to the mat.

Boss tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Karlson with a flurry of punches that miss.

Karlson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boss has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Karlson has managed to get both his arms back between Boss's legs - danger averted.

Boss has his foot on Karlson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Karlson works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boss sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Karlson's guard.
Karlson tries to get to full guard but Boss has control of the leg.
Boss wants to take a breather but Karlson is having none of it.
Karlson wants to get back to full guard.
Boss missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Karlson is trying to maintain the position but Boss is very close to passing his half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Karlson is not content to let Boss control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Magnus Vi Karlson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Karlson gets tackled into the cage by Boss. Boss maintains the clinch.
Karlson gets underhooks to prevent Boss's takedown attempt.

Karlson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Boss regains guard.
Karlson lands a couple of elbows.
Boss lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Boss perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Karlson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boss on the ground.

Boss is keen to just control but Karlson is a slippery customer.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Boss looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Karlson actively working from the bottom here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Boss with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Karlson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boss manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boss is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

The fight stays on the outside here - Boss looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Karlson connects with a high kick.
Boss closes this distance looking for a takedown but Karlson circles away.
Karlson throws a right and a left that Boss avoids nicely.
Boss darts in looking for a takedown but Karlson gets double underhooks and turns Boss into the cage.

and Boss counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Karlson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Karlson lands with a nice combination. Boss backs away looking to recover.

and Karlson counters with a left and a right that stings Boss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Karlson darts in and clinches Boss up against the cage.

Boss manages to pull guard.
Boss is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Boss is trying to control the position but Karlson postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Karlson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boss swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Boss tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Karlson defends well and Boss ends up having to push Karlson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Boss shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Karlson defends it nicely.

Karlson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Oooooh!!! Karlson has knocked Boss down with a huge combo! Karlson steps away and waves a wobbly Boss back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Boss gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
