The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Budgiehandler throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Meesang on the side of the head.
Budgiehandler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Meesang.
Meesang scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Budgiehandler doesn't seem bothered though.

Meesang swings wildly with an uppercut but Budgiehandler uses good head movement to avoid it.
Meesang wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Budgiehandler has him pressed against the cage.
Budgiehandler lands a hook to the side of the head.

Meesang escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Meesang swats away the attempt to clinch by Budgiehandler.

Meesang tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Budgiehandler's elbow.
Meesang tries to work over Budgiehandler's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Budgiehandler prevents a body shot from Meesang.
Budgiehandler throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Meesang struggles to land a body shot inside as Budgiehandler controls his hands.
Meesang has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Meesang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Budgiehandler closes the distance and lands a one-two.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Budgiehandler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Meesang circles away quickly and effectively.
Budgiehandler lunges at Meesang with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Meesang's hand.

Meesang is rocked!
Budgiehandler connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Meesang covering up! Budgiehandler comes in with a big uppercut and Meesang goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
