Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Justin Magnum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry The Crab!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magnum slips a straight right by The Crab.

The Crab feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The Crab won't allow Magnum to sweep him here.
The Crab postures up.

The Crab's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The Crab thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Magnum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Crab on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Magnum tries to close the distance and clinch but The Crab swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The Crab misses with a takedown attempt - Magnum sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The Crab fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Magnum to the ground. The Crab is now in Magnum's guard.
The Crab wants to control from the top but Magnum keeps moving.

The Crab drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Magnum dives on top into guard.

The Crab wants to improve his position but instead Magnum has moved into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Magnum in particular looking to stall.
Magnum trying to control the action but The Crab is working from the bottom.

The Crab is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Magnum pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Magnum thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Magnum wants to take a breather but The Crab is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Crab gets back to full guard.
Magnum throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The Crab bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Magnum's guard.

The Crab tries to free his leg and advance position but Magnum is retaining full guard.

The Crab pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Magnum is keeping the position for now.
Magnum can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as The Crab controls the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as The Crab accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The Crab looking to sit in guard and control but Magnum gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry The Crab dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The Crab shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Magnum counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The Crab throws a wild body kick that Magnum sees coming a mile off.
The Crab shoots for a double leg takedown but Magnum sprawls well. He's pushed The Crab's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The Crab shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The Crab wants to control from the top but Magnum keeps moving.

The Crab sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Magnum's guard.
The Crab throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The Crab wants to free his trapped foot but Magnum is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The Crab is taking a breather. Magnum says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The Crab works his way into full mount!
The Crab tries to control but Magnum wriggling away.
Magnum sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Crab is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Magnum sees it coming and defends easily.
Magnum gets back to full guard.

The Crab is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The Crab passes into half guard.
The Crab trying to control from Magnum's half guard. Magnum has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Magnum manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Crab manages to get himself to full guard.


The Crab is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Magnum defends well.

Magnum avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The Crab has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The Crab has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Magnum doesn't defend quickly enough and The Crab has managed to lock this one up! Can Magnum escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to The Crab on a fantastic submission victory.
