The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Routerhead throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Davis.

Davis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Routerhead sprawls well initially but Davis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Davis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Davis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Davis content to control rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis is nestled in close to Routerhead, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Routerhead is looking for a sweep. Davis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Routerhead is looking to control Davis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Routerhead avoid being mounted?

Davis gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Routerhead cracks Davis with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Nice uppercut there from Routerhead.
Davis misses with a series of wild punches.

Routerhead gets caught napping as Davis dives in and scores a takedown. Routerhead manages to retain guard.
Davis passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Davis seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Routerhead is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
