The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McQuirre misses with a looping right.
White Jr swings for the body but McQuirre moves out of range.
White Jr tries to clinch there but McQuirre circles away.
McQuirre throws a body shot but no joy.
White Jr moves out of range of the strikes.
McQuirre sets himself, and White Jr steps forward looking for the clinch! McQuirre avoids it this time.
White Jr uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McQuirre.

McQuirre throws a body punch but White Jr moves out of range.

White Jr clinches.

White Jr has had enough of the clinch but McQuirre keeps him there for the moment.
White Jr gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Harry McQuirre has been cut.

McQuirre's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

McQuirre breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
White Jr uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McQuirre.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McQuirre, as that shot connected.
White Jr's corner calls for a 1-2. White Jr obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

White Jr closes the distance and clinches.
McQuirre tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
McQuirre takes an elbow to the temple.
A head punch on the inside from McQuirre fails to land.

McQuirre escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

White Jr has hold of one of McQuirre's legs. McQuirre is fighting the takedown attempt but White Jr gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
McQuirre pulls White Jr in close to prevent any damage.
McQuirre is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Total Impact MMA/KT that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

White Jr moves in looking to clinch but McQuirre pushes him off.

White Jr looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
McQuirre fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

White Jr tries to land knees in the clinch but McQuirre avoids the damage to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
White Jr is working for takedown but McQuirre is calmly controlling the position for now.

White Jr gets control of McQuirre's arms and successfully pulls guard. White Jr will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

McQuirre gets to his feet - White Jr follows without any prompting.
McQuirre steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from White Jr. That one must have hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Harry McQuirre will probably get the nod.

White Jr takes the fight into the clinch.

White Jr has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but McQuirre regains guard immediately.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
