The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mephistopheles fails with a takedown attempt.
Mephistopheles shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hammer is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mephistopheles.
Nice sprawl there from Hammer as Mephistopheles shoots in.
As Mephistopheles tries to get set, Hammer tries to push him back and clinch up but Mephistopheles manages to avoid the attempt.
Fritz Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lord Mephistopheles.

and Hammer moves into the clinch.
Mephistopheles is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Mephistopheles tries to score a body lock takedown but Hammer shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hammer is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mephistopheles is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hammer pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Hammer lands with a left to the head.

Hammer definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Hammer lands a hook that snaps the head of Mephistopheles backwards.
Hammer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Hammer is pushing Mephistopheles up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Hammer prevents the takedown attempt.
Mephistopheles drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hammer pulls his leg out and moves away.

It looks like Lord Mephistopheles has been cut.
Hammer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mephistopheles moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hammer cracks a nice hook into Mephistopheles's ribs.

Hammer sends Mephistopheles crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hammer is motioning to the referee to let Mephistopheles up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hammer moves in close and cracks Mephistopheles with a massive right hand! Mephistopheles, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Hammer!
