Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Travis (ranked 1184 p4p, 153 weight class) and Konstantin Sogrin (ranked 1302 p4p, 170 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Travis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Chris Travis - Crunch Time. Sogrin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rammstein - Sonne. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Konstantin Sogrin!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Travis misses.
Sogrin lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

and Travis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Travis throws a jab but it's blocked by Sogrin.
Sogrin throws a lazy right hand but Travis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Travis is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Travis will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Travis throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Sogrin tumbling to the canvas!


Sogrin is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Travis wants to control from the top but Sogrin keeps moving.
Sogrin is still in real trouble! Can Travis finish him?

Travis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sogrin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sogrin has escaped and now he's on top!

Sogrin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sogrin seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Travis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sogrin defends it easily.

Sogrin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Travis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sogrin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sogrin stays in close to Travis's body and controls the position.
Sogrin is continuing to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Travis working for submissions but it's allowed Sogrin to get to half guard.
Sogrin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sogrin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Travis tries to lock up and control but Sogrin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Travis is trying desperately to improve position.
Sogrin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sogrin manages to capitalize on a mistake by Travis to take his back!

Konstantin Sogrin has got the better of the ground game so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Travis will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Chris Travis showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Travis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
