Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rodney Alcala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Crack Head!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcala wants to clinch but Head slips to the side
and Head counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Head getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Alcala has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Zero Tolerance in the buildup to the fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alcala. Head does a little dance to reset his feet.
Head misses with a wild body shot.
Alcala throws a hook but Head avoids it easily.
Head lands a big uppercut and Alcala crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Alcala looks OK. Head waves Alcala back to his feet!
Alcala is rocked!

Oh Alcala is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alcala throws a head kick that misses.
Alcala seems to have got his legs back now.
Alcala thows a leg kick but Head checks it
and Head makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Head keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Head digs a good hook to Alcala's body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Head has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Head ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Alcala misses with a body shot
and Head counters with a straight right hand.
Head looks to land a right hand but Alcala moved out of range.
Alcala tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Head manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Head counters with a nice right hand that sends Alcala toppling to the canvas! Alcala scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Head finish him?!

Head escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Head lands a big right hand that sends Alcala crashing to the mat! Head stays standing though and waves Alcala back to his feet!
Alcala misses with the body kick
and Head counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Crack Head!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Crack Head waved his t-shirt featuring Groove Gear's logo in front of the cameras.
