Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Gusmao (ranked 318 p4p, 41 weight class) and Sergey Burenkov (ranked 665 p4p, 84 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Burenkov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burenkov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gusmao but Gusmao pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Burenkov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gusmao throws the left hand but Burenkov avoids the punch easily.

Burenkov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gusmao did well to prevent Burenkov getting side control.

Burenkov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gusmao can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Gusmao throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Burenkov.

Burenkov is rocked!
Burenkov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gusmao sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Burenkov somewhat.
Burenkov is still on wobbly legs! Can Gusmao finish him?
Gusmao ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Burenkov's jaw. Burenkov's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Gusmao does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Henrique Gusmao tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
