Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bronson Hughes (ranked 2794 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vos Zy (ranked 7303 p4p, 516 weight class). Hughes comes to the cage accompanied by Slam - By: Onyx. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zy moves away.
Zy throws a big counter head kick but Hughes avoids it with no problem.
Zy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hughes.
Hughes misses with a head kick.
Zy blocks a head kick by Hughes.
Hughes feints and then cracks Zy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zy down.
Hughes scores with the left hand. Zy knows he should have avoided that one.
Nice takedown defense from Hughes. No joy for Zy on that attempt.
Hughes just misses with a punch to the body.
Zy tries to clinch but Hughes moves out of range.
Zy looks to score with a jab to the body but Hughes is just out of range.
Zy closes the distance and clinches up with Hughes, looking for a takedown. Zy pushes Hughes against the cage but Hughes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hughes throws a hook but Zy avoids it easily.
Zy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hughes sprawls well. Hughes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zy gets slowly back to his feet.
Bronson Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vos Zy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zy moves in looking to clinch but Hughes pushes him off.

Zy moves forwards but Hughes connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Hughes misses with an uppercut. Zy saw that one coming.
Hughes throws a good cross that connects.
Hughes connects with a nice looking jab.
Hughes lands a front kick.
Hughes jabs Zy right on the nose. Zy blinks but takes it well.

Hughes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zy.
Zy drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hughes defends it well.
Zy tries to close the distance and clinch but Hughes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A slapping leg kick lands for Hughes.
Zy tries a head kick but it misses.
Hughes loads up on a big right hand but Zy slips the punch.
Hughes moves out of range as Zy strikes.
Hughes shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hughes is looking for a kimura but Zy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hughes to get the leverage.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hughes lands a nice short elbow.

Zy wants to sweep but Hughes has passed to side control!
Hughes in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Zy is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
