The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaize misses with a hook. Carvaleho ducked under it nicely.
Chaize circles away from the clinch attempt
and Chaize counters with a straight right hand.
A lazy left from Chaize finds it's target.
Carvaleho takes one on the button.
Chaize moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Jose Carvaleho has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A jab from Chaize does it's job there.
Chaize jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Carvaleho drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Chaize defends it well.

Carvaleho takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Chaize counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Carvaleho shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

My spies in Buoy Training inform me that Carvaleho has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Carvaleho has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Chaize is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Carvaleho yanks on the arm and Chaize is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Carvaleho.
