PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dave Brown (ranked 7233 p4p, 516 weight class) and Baby Boy Harris (ranked 4491 p4p, 433 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Harris throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Harris. Brown does a little dance to reset his feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Harris is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Harris takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Brown drops his hands momentarily and Harris takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Harris on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Harris lands with a hook. Brown tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

enabling Brown to counter with a crisp jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

No joy there for Harris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brown was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Brown cracks Harris with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Harris is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Harris is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Harris could not beat the count!
