PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Tomcic (ranked 1214 p4p, 139 weight class) and Felipe Silva (ranked 1238 p4p, 145 weight class). Silva has chosen Ratamahatta - Sepultura as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomcic chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Tomcic throws a jab when Silva was well out of range.
Silva throws a nice looking combination but Tomcic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silva misses with a wild combination.
Tomcic turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Silva wants to clinch up but Tomcic keeps it at a distance.
Tomcic swings for the body but Silva moves out of range.
Silva has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Silva takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Silva moves to clinch but Tomcic breaks away
and Tomcic counters with a left to the body.

Tomcic is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Silva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Silva shrugs it off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tomcic is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tomcic has escaped and now he's on top!

Tomcic drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Tomcic seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Silva has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Tomcic to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Silva is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Tomcic pulls down on the head and he's put Silva to sleep! This one is all over!
