PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Test Four (ranked 1174 p4p, 58 weight class) and Shirley Crabtree (ranked 2603 p4p, 102 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Test Four!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shirley Crabtree!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Four swings for the body but Crabtree moves out of range.
Four takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Test Four has been cut.
Four slips under a jab from Crabtree.
Four really is a fat lump.
A slow jab from Crabtree misses its intended target.
Four misses with a body shot.
Crabtree throws a hook but Four blocks it.
Crabtree throws out a loose jab but Four uses good head movement to avoid it.
Four tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crabtree was well out of range. Poor timing from Four.
Crabtree scores with a jab to the body.
Four throws an overhand right that lands on Crabtree's shoulder, as Crabtree tries to avoid the shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Crabtree! But no joy.

Crabtree steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Four.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Four throws a lazy uppercut
letting Crabtree counter with a right hand.
Four misses with a wild body shot.
Crabtree looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Four tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crabtree was well out of range. Poor timing from Four.
Crabtree jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Four is looking to wear down Crabtree with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crabtree drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

The fighters circling - Four throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
It seemed like Crabtree was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Four moves out of range of the strikes.
Crabtree is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Four.
Crabtree connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Four's hands.
Crabtree throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Four sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Four throws a hook to the side of Crabtree's head but Crabtree sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Crabtree throws a body shot but no joy.
Four is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Four misses with a hook.
Crabtree swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Four looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Crabtree lands a big right hand that sends Four crashing to the mat! Crabtree stays standing though and waves Four back to his feet!

Four is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Crabtree finds Four's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Four flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Crabtree lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Four will be OK.
