Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohsin Zaidi (ranked 614 p4p, 86 weight class) and Harry Hole (ranked 984 p4p, 128 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Harry Hole enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Mohsin Zaidi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Harry Hole!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hole looks to land a body kick but Zaidi moved away.

Hole throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zaidi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zaidi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Zaidi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hole can pounce on him.

Zaidi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hole did well to prevent Zaidi getting side control.
Hole felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Mohsin Zaidi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hole bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zaidi's guard.

Hole got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zaidi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hole has managed to get both his arms back between Zaidi's legs - danger averted.
Hole slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Zaidi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've been hearing good reports from Zaidi's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Harry Hole showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Zaidi takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Zaidi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hole is fending him off so far but Zaidi persists. Nope, Hole circles away and we're back to standing.
Hole uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zaidi has time to react.

Hole connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zaidi momentarily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hole ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Zaidi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zaidi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Zaidi shoots in for a double leg but Hole sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Zaidi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hole tries to avoid it but Zaidi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hole to the ground. Hole escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Zaidi closes the distance and clinches up with Hole, looking for a takedown. Zaidi pushes Hole against the cage but Hole circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Harry Hole comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

A very excited looking Harry Hole rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
