The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mulder swats away the attempt to clinch by Newal.
Mulder looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Newal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Newal wants it to stay on the feet.

Mulder is trying to break the clinch but Newal has him pressed against the cage.
Newal lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Mulder has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Newal after a bit of a struggle.
Bread Newal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niek Mulder.

Mulder tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Newal's elbow.
Mulder jumps guard but Newal turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Newal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mulder has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Newal has managed to get both his arms back between Mulder's legs - danger averted.

Oh but Mulder is tightening it up a little... Newal has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
