PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Blevio (ranked 6677 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Ganador (ranked 3988 p4p, 0 weight class). Blevio comes to the cage accompanied by De Sfroos- Davide VDS. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ganador's choice of entrance music: We Will Rock You. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Luis Ganador!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blevio keeps the fight on the outside.
Blevio tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ganador swivels and escapes.

Ganador manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Blevio on his heels. He'll look to pass Blevio's guard now, I'm sure.

Blevio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ganador defends it easily.
Ganador slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Blevio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ganador manages to get himself to full guard.

Blevio is looking to advance position but Ganador has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Ganador stands up from mount. Strange move.
Ganador scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Blevio closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ganador's guard.

Ganador manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Blevio is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ganador to keep the fight standing.
Blevio goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ganador prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roberto Blevio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blevio is breathing heavily.

Ganador's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Blevio has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ganador.
Ganador connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Blevio covering up! Ganador comes in with a big uppercut and Blevio goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Luis Ganador!
After the fight, Luis Ganador was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
