Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Arnoldo Perda Segurio (ranked 21936 p4p, 526 weight class) and Mauricio Gracie (ranked 4147 p4p, 381 weight class). Perda Segurio comes into the arena with Cypress Hill - Highlife blaring out of the sound system. Mauricio Gracie is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perda Segurio ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away.

Perda Segurio has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Perda Segurio is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gracie throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Perda Segurio is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Perda Segurio and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gracie has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Well Gracie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
