Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Back Door (ranked 6918 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crusher Creel (ranked 4525 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Back Door!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Crusher Creel!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Creel as Door shoots in.
And Creel tries to counter it with a takedown but Door pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Creel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Door is looking to get back to his feet here but Creel is keeping cool and he's managed to take Door's back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Creel tries to keep control of the position but Door is staying busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creel biding his time, looking for the opening.

Creel not allowing Door to control his hands.
Door is covering up but some of the strikes from Creel are getting through and doing damage.
Creel scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Door rolls, trying to escape but Creel keeps control of the position.

Creel has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Door has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Creel scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Door is looking for a way out.
What can Door do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Creel tries to keep control of the position but Door is staying busy.
Creel has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Door.
Creel lands strikes to the head.
Door is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Creel is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Door has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Door prevents Creel from getting a body triangle.
What can Door do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Door tries to escape but Creel has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Door is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Creel.
Door staying busy and making it hard for Creel to control.
You can see the frustration on Door's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Door looking very determined here, making life difficult for Creel.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crusher Creel dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Creel manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Door on his heels. He'll look to pass Door's guard now, I'm sure.
Door is wriggling around but Creel manages to pass to half guard.

Door is refusing to be controlled, as Creel sits in half guard.

Creel decides to stand up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Door tries to score a body lock takedown but Creel shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Door breaks the clinch.
Creel tries to close the distance and clinch but Door swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Door. No joy for Creel on that attempt.
Door seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Creel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Door gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Creel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Door keeping moving, preventing Creel from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Creel missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Creel wants to control from the top but Door keeps moving.
Creel lands a couple of digs.

Creel is nestled in close to Door, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Creel is keen to just control but Door is a slippery customer.

Creel decides to return to a standing position.
Creel wants to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Creel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Door sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Creel somewhat.
Back Door has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Crusher Creel.
Door tries a head kick but it misses.
Door will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Door has Creel up against the cage in a clinch.
Door on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Door scores with a shot to the side of Creel's head.
Door stalling in the clinch.
Creel goes for a takedown attempt but Door pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Creel has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Creel doesn't manage to clinch there - Door circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crusher Creel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Door's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Door looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Creel is fending him off so far but Door persists. Nope, Creel circles away and we're back to standing.
Creel steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Door avoids the head kick by Creel.

Door closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Creel did well to prevent Door getting side control.

Door got a little sloppy there for a moment and Creel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Door has managed to get both his arms back between Creel's legs - danger averted.

Creel might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Door haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Door wants to get up but he can't break Creel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Door wants to control from the top but Creel keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Door throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Door pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Creel tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Door counters with a left and a right that stings Creel.
Door doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Creel counters with a two punch combo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Creel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Door's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Creel cracks Door with a solid left hand.
Creel sitting in guard here, content to control.

Creel postures up in Door's guard and throws a big left but Door blocks it.

Door working for a triangle but Creel defends it easily.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Creel throws a shot to the body.
Door leaves Creel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Door tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Creel defends well and Door ends up having to push Creel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Back Door. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Creel decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Door, up you get!

Door's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Creel fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Creel gets a clinch.
Door drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Creel wants a takedown.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Door lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Back Door has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Crusher Creel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Creel drops down looking for an ankle pick but Door pulls his leg out and moves away.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Crusher Creel.
I've got Creel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
