Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bango Korpolombolo (ranked 7271 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Briggs (ranked 24368 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs tries to clinch there but Korpolombolo circles away.
Korpolombolo is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Briggs fails with the takedown
and Korpolombolo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Briggs decides to stand back up.
Briggs fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Briggs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Korpolombolo.
Shawn Briggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Briggs closes the distance and clinches.

Briggs keeps control of Korpolombolo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Korpolombolo gets underhooks to prevent Briggs's takedown attempt.
Bango Korpolombolo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Briggs.

Briggs gets control of Korpolombolo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Briggs will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Briggs utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Our spies down at at The Kegerator - 650$ inform us that Briggs has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Korpolombolo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Korpolombolo wants to pass the guard but Briggs is keeping the position.

Briggs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Briggs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Korpolombolo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Korpolombolo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Briggs has control of Korpolombolo's left arm, preventing Korpolombolo from doing any damage.
Korpolombolo is working Briggs over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Briggs is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Korpolombolo rolls with it to try and escape but Briggs cranks on the arm and Korpolombolo is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
