PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Boitsov (ranked 2075 p4p, 253 weight class) and Cochise Harris (ranked 1479 p4p, 196 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cochise Harris!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris lands a nice looking body shot.
Harris leaves Boitsov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A jab from Harris does it's job there.
Boitsov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harris moves away.
Harris throws a big shot that misses.
Harris is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boitsov.
Boitsov has been working on his balance at St Petersburg MMA Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Harris.
Harris just misses with a punch to the body.
Boitsov throws a big counter combination but Harris scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Harris misses with a wild body shot.
Boitsov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Harris.
Boitsov appears to be looking for a big counter.
Harris lands a jab to Boitsov's midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Boitsovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Harris scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Boitsov slips under a jab.
Boitsov lands an overhand right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris lands a slapping body shot.
Harris takes a swing at Boitsov's ribcage but misses.
Harris takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Boitsov takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Boitsov tries to clinch there but Harris circles away.
Harris avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Harris is looking for the big counter here.
Boitsov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Harris connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Boitsov scrambles back to his feet.
Harris works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Cochise Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harris throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Harris lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Boitsov falls backwards - clearly groggy! Harris dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
