Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ian Lock!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Teiji Uno!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lock shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Uno has closed the distance and engaged Lock in a clinch.
Lock avoiding damage as Uno throws knees to the body.
Lock is trying to pull guard but Uno has him pressed against the ropes.
Lock has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Uno avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ian Lock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Uno prevents the takedown attempt.
Uno with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Uno drops Lock with a big knee straight up the middle! Lock is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Lock is rocked!
It looks like Ian Lock has been cut.
Uno throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Lock crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Teiji Uno! Teiji Uno retains his light heavyweight title!
Teiji Uno gave a mention to Kore Fight Nutrition in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
