Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sho Nuff (ranked 1453 p4p, 182 weight class) and Trevor Fitch (ranked 2901 p4p, 323 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nuff defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fitch.
Fitch throws a hook but Nuff blocks it.
Fitch avoids the head kick by Nuff.
Fitch changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Nuff throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Nuff keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fitch.

Fitch drives through with a takedown into Nuff's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fitch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nuff swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nuff wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Fitch is looking for a kimura but Nuff is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fitch to get the leverage.

My spies in LA Vale Tudo inform me that Fitch has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Fitch won't allow Nuff to sweep him here.

It looks like Trevor Fitch has been cut.

Fitch shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nuff as he avoids it easily.
Nuff seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Nuff scores with a head kick. Fitch tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Nuff connects with an inside leg kick.
Nuff lands with a good body shot.
Fitch takes one to the chin there.
Fitch misses with an uppercut. Nuff saw that one coming.

Nuff uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fitch.
Nuff tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Fitch manages to circle out of the way.

Nuff is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Fitch shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nuff pinned against the cage. Nuff gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As Fitch tries to get set, Nuff tries to push him back and clinch up but Fitch manages to avoid the attempt.
Sho Nuff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevor Fitch.

Fitch fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nuff sprawls well initially but Fitch persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fitch moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Nuff has worked his arm free - good work by Nuff!
Fitch passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Nuff!

Fitch tries to control but Nuff wriggling away.
Nuff stops Fitch from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Nuff working to try and regain half guard.

Fitch working for a guillotine from mount but Nuff is in no mood to give up.

Fitch looking to secure an arm triangle but Nuff defends it well.
Nuff knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fitch on the ground.

Fitch is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nuff to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nuff shrugs it off.

Nuff cracks Fitch with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Nuff closes the distance and clinches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nuff creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Nuff lands an elbow just above Fitch 's eye.
A short body shot lands from Nuff as the two fighters clinch.
Nuff gets through Fitch's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nuff is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Nuff got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fitch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nuff has managed to get both his arms back between Fitch's legs - danger averted.

Fitch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nuff gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fitch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nuff can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
