The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duffy throws a sloppy head kick and Rei moves out of range easily.
Rei feinted with a counter takedown.

Duffy takes the fight into the clinch.

Duffy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rei shoots in but no luck this time.
Duffy scores with a one two! Rei had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Kano Rei has been cut.
Rei misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Rei gets tackled into the cage by Duffy. Duffy maintains the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duffy misses with a punch to the body.
Rei tries to score a body lock takedown but Duffy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kano Rei. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Duffy tries to clinch but Rei moves out of range.

Rei shoots in for a takedown but Duffy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Despite the aggression on Duffy's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Duffy misses with a head kick.

Duffy takes the fight into the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Duffy.
Rei wants a takedown.

Duffy lands a shot to the body.

Duffy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Duffy drops Rei with a left and a right! Oh, Rei is hurt - Duffy dives into side control looking to finish!

Rei is rocked!

Duffy stands up.
Duffy lands a big right hook! Rei looks hurt but is still standing! Duffy lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Rei falls down and Duffy dives in with a huge hammer fist! Rei's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Duffy runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
