Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Baker (ranked 2097 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silvain Chastain (ranked 2413 p4p, 0 weight class). Silvain Chastain will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chastain bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Baker has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Chastain uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Chastain works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Chastain lands a head shot.
Chastain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chastain wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Silvain Chastain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chastain scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Baker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Baker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Chastain is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Baker had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Chastain looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Baker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Baker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chastain manages to avoid it.

Baker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Baker is rocked!
Baker gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Chastain gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Baker is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
