The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva moves out of range of the strikes.
Jake The Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva moves out of range as The Dog strikes.
The Dog just misses with a punch to the body.
The Dog misses with a two punch combination.
A little feinted left hand from Silva on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Silva throws a lazy right hand but The Dog sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Silva scores with a jab to the jaw.

It looks like Jake The Dog has been cut.

Silva slips under a jab.
A counter left hand to the body from Silva misses its target.
The Dog throws a body shot but no joy.
An attempted straight right counter from Silva misses the target.
The Dog cracks Silva with an open hand slap.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The Dog looks to throw the jab but Silva is out of range.
The Dog takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but The Dog swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The Dog is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A bone on bone clash there as The Dog blocks the leg kick.
The Dog cracks Silva with a good jab.

Silva thuds a left hand into The Dog's body.

The Dog drops Silva with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Silva looks back up at him and smiles so The Dog waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The Dog moves in close and cracks Silva with a massive right hand! Silva, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by The Dog!

After the fight, Jake The Dog was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
