Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Davis (ranked 3408 p4p, 370 weight class) and RJ Cain (ranked 4269 p4p, 420 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, RJ Cain!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davis clinches up against the cage.

Cain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cain throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Davis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Davis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cain defends well and Davis ends up having to push Cain into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Cain jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Davis shoots in looking for a takedown but Cain manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Davis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Davis gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cain.
Cain connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Davis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cain counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Davis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Davis tries to clinch there but Cain circles away.
Cain scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Mark Davis has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Davis clinches.

Davis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The crowd cheers as Cain lands an impressive looking overhand right. Davis doesn't seem phased though.
Davis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cain swings for the body but Davis moves out of range.
Cain digs a good hook to Davis's body.
Davis with a lazy takedown attempt
and Cain counters with a stiff right hand.
Davis is breathing heavily.
Cain smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


Davis is rocked!
Davis throws a sloppy head kick
and Cain rattles Davis with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Davis tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Cain dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Davis stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). RJ Cain!
