Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Israel Hands (ranked 1942 p4p, 217 weight class) and Reima Poika (ranked 1359 p4p, 163 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hands might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A Collection of Sea Shanties. Israel Hands has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Reima Poika!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poika bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Hands moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Reima Poika seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poika lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Hands lands with a kick to the ribs.
Poika scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hands moves away from the strike by Poika.
Hands on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Hands scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hands misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Poika throws out a loose jab but Hands uses good head movement to avoid it.
Poika misses with a combination
and Hands counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hands lands a big shot that drops Poika! Can he finish him?
Poika is rocked!
It looks like Reima Poika has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hands is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Poika is still in real trouble! Can Hands finish him?
Hands continues to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hands passes into half guard.
Hands is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Hands working for a submission but Poika is keeping him at bay.
Hands working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Poika turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hands off and cradles Poika's limp body as Hands celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Israel Hands!
After winning the bout, Israel Hands thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
