PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Mike Tyson (ranked 23856 p4p, 473 weight class) and Pucy McGraber (ranked 24321 p4p, 510 weight class). McGraber has chosen Kid Rock - Born Free as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson throws a right and a left that McGraber avoids nicely.
McGraber throws a right and a left that Tyson avoids nicely.
McGraber ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McGraber throws a body punch but Tyson moves out of range.
A slow jab from McGraber misses its intended target.
Tyson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGraber moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

McGraber uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tyson.

Tyson avoids a punch combination nicely.
A quick step to the side and Tyson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
McGraber swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McGraber throws an overhand right that lands on Tyson's shoulder, as Tyson tries to avoid the shot.
A little feinted left hand from Tyson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Tyson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
McGraber will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Tyson moves out of range of the strikes.
McGraber throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McGraber throws a sloppy head kick and Tyson moves out of range easily.

McGraber throws out a leg kick but Tyson moves out of range and McGraber only half commits.
Tyson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McGraber's head backwards.
A decent looking cross lands there for McGraber.
Tyson tries to close the distance and clinch but McGraber swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McGraber misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tyson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Tyson lands a nice shot that snaps McGraber's head back.

Tyson cracks McGraber with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can McGraber get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. McGraber looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
This has been an exciting period of action!
McGraber throws a lazy right hand but Tyson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tyson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tyson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Tyson misses with a straight left.
McGraber misses with a jab, cross combination.
McGraber moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
McGraber throws a leg kick that misses.

Tyson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

McGraber looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Tyson lands with an uppercut that bounces McGraber off the ropes and back into range.
Tyson looks to land a left hand but McGraber moved out of range nicely.
McGraber is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

McGraber walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

McGraber is rocked!
McGraber throws a jab but it's blocked by Tyson.
Tyson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

McGraber does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Tyson throws a body shot but no joy.

Tyson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
McGraber will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

No joy there for Tyson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pucy McGraber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGraber ducks right into an uppercut from Tyson.
McGraber uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tyson.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tyson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

McGraber walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Tyson rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but McGraber has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tyson grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! McGraber takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Tyson cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
