Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Miguel Cotto (ranked 6275 p4p, 138 weight class) and Tyga Laxx (ranked 24959 p4p, 166 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

It seemed like Laxx was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Cotto fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Laxx .
Cotto takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Laxx connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Cotto counters with a nice low kick that buckles Laxx 's knee momentarily.
Laxx 's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Cotto connects with a leg kick. Laxx looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Miguel Cotto.
Well Cotto has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
