The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bonin avoids the body shot from Luciano.

Luciano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bonin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Luciano's calf.
Bonin throws a hook but Luciano avoids it easily.

Bonin tries to move into range but Luciano moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Bonin misses with an uppercut. Luciano saw that one coming.

and Bonin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Luciano lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Luciano is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Luciano lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bonin backwards.
Bonin is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Luciano escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Luciano throws a nice outside leg kick.

and Luciano counters with an inside leg kick.

Luciano lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bonin's sensitive parts.

Luciano throws a wild body kick that Bonin sees coming a mile off.
Luciano fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bonin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Luciano lands a big uppercut and Bonin crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bonin looks OK. Luciano waves Bonin back to his feet!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like William Bonin has been cut.
Bonin just misses with a punch to the body.
As Bonin backs away, Luciano returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
William Bonin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Luciano cracks Bonin with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bonin tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Luciano pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bonin is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
