For lunges at Mercado with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mercado's hand.
For catches Mercado with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
For jabs Mercado to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mercado misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice uppercut lands for For . That snapped Mercado's head back.

It looks like Trinidad Mercado has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

For throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mercado on the side of the head.

Mercado shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts For as he jumps to the side.
For looks like he wants to counter punch here.
For displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mercado.

A lazy left from For finds it's target.
For lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
For throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oh Mercado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Test Sliders For is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
For with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Mercado seems to have got his legs back now.
For fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Mercado takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Mercado has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mercado there as he acknowledges the shot.

Trinidad Mercado's cut is getting worse.
For is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mercado had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Mercado shoots for a takedown but For saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
For appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

For swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mercado.

For lands a big uppercut and Mercado crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mercado looks OK. For waves Mercado back to his feet!
For cracks Mercado with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mercado tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but For pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mercado is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
