Johnson misses with a straight left.
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Max Paddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Paddy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Paddy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Paddy dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Paddy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Paddy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Johnson.

Paddy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Johnson quickly recovers to half guard.
