Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Lucroy (ranked 2105 p4p, 0 weight class) and Black Belt (ranked 1880 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jean Lucroy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Black Belt!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lucroy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Belt's guard.
Lucroy is looking to work some ground and pound but Belt has wrist control.

Belt manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Lucroy tries a body shot but Belt blocks it.

Lucroy has clasped his hands together around Belt's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Belt is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lucroy has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

I've been told that Belt has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Lucroy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Belt escapes and throws Lucroy's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Lucroy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Belt defends it easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lucroy controls Belt momentarily but Belt frees himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jean Lucroy.
Well Lucroy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
