The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
For connects with the punch.
For lands with a nice body punch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts For , as that shot connected.
For lands a body shot.
Macgregor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. For sprawls well initially but Macgregor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if For can do anything to dispel that myth.
For looks like he's trying to stand up.
For is not content to let Macgregor control the position.
Macgregor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Macgregor missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
For tries to kick Macgregor off but Macgregor keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Macgregor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Test Sliders For seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
For feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Macgregors jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
For throws a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

For scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Macgregor bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
For is trying to get back to his feet.
For really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Macgregor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Macgregor postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Macgregor is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
For is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Macgregor asserts his dominance and retains side control.

For has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
